Funny Things People Say #3

Keeping you up to date with funny things I hear people say:

I was meeting with a client and we were talking about taking the bus. She was worried about her child who has to take the bus.

Client: Taking the bus can be scary because you can miss your stop.
Me: I know. the first time I took the bus I was hyper-vigilent I was so worried I was going to fall asleep and miss my stop.

Client: What does that mean? Hyper-vigilant?
Me: It means really aware.

Client: I thought hyper meant like you're a spaz.
Me: It means "really or extremely". Hyper is short for hyper-active which means "really active".

Client (thinks for a minute): So if I'm really tired I can say "I'm hyper-tired?"
